This program teaches the student computer literacy, word processing, medical terminology medical office procedures, coding and billing. Graduates of this program will be able to perform administrative duties within a medical office: physician’s offices, clinics, HMOs or other ambulatory care facilities. This program prepares the student to gain entry-level employment in a medical office or hospital environment. Graduates of the program are employable as Coding and Billing Specialists, Administrative Medical Assistants or Medical Office Receptionists.
