Inside Wireperson Apprenticeship

Provided by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 456, JATC

Students will attend Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School, Rues Lane, East Brunswick, NJ. Classes are held three nights per week. September through June. Apprentice must maintain a grade of 80 or better. Apprentice will be required to complete 8000 hours on-the-job training to become Journeyman Electrician. Upon satisfactory completion of one year of school and work, apprentice will be sworn in as an IBEW member.

Since January 1, 2000, Local 456 jurisdiction was expanded to include all of Middlesex County and a part of Somerset County under the Inside Wireman agreement and the Outside Commercial Agreement.
