Summer Youth Program

The Summer Youth Program offers: -Work between 160-200 hours for the program earning at minimum $16.00 an hour -Learn how to complete job applications -Engage in your community -Find Mentors -Prepare for a future career -Gain valuable work experience The program invites local businesses to collaborate to provide a work experience for youth between the ages of 16 to 24 during the summer. The requirements are: -You HIRE THEM, the Division of Workforce Development reimburses 100% at a maximum amount of $3,200.00 -They must work a minimum of 160 hours and up to a maximum of 200 hours during the program -Youth must be paid a minimum of $16.00 per hour -Must be between 16 to 24 years of age -Youth must be a resident of Monmouth County.

Provider Information - Monmouth County Workforce Development
The Monmouth County Workforce Development Board is the entity that implements the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act in Monmouth County. Appointed by local elected officials, the Board is responsible for planning and overseeing local workforce development programs. The majority of the board members are business representatives while other members include representatives of education providers, labor organizations, community-based organizations, economic development agencies, and partners.
